Software giant Adobe has expanded its presence at its Downtown San Jose headquarters, opening the new 18-story, 700,000-square-foot Founders Tower at 333 W. San Fernando St. The building is named after John Warnock and Chuck Geschke who co-founded the company in Los Altos, CA adjacent to Adobe Creek.

The Mercury News reports the new tower will house about 4,000 Adobe employees, allowing the company to double its downtown workforce. The building’s largest meeting area is an auditorium called Town Hall that seats up to 600 people and the new space also features a 50,000-square-foot cafe and a museum that highlights Adobe’s impact on the tech industry.

Founders Tower broke ground in pre-pandemic 2019, but the company already had an eye toward wide-open spaces before it became all the rage. The building’s floors average 60,000 square feet, there are community and collaboration spaces for employees and even Town Hall is set up as an open indoor theater.
