BlackRock Renewal at 701 Brickell Brings Nuveen Real Estate’s Office Asset to 95% Occupancy

Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a 5,103-square-foot lease renewal with BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, at 701 Brickell in the financial and tech neighborhood of Miami, FL. The renewal brings the asset’s occupancy to 95% following nine completed lease deals in 2022 totalling 71,292 square feet:

  • Four new leases with Aon Insurance Company, Tyche Asset Management, Bridgewest Group, and Covenant comprising 23,487 square feet.
  • Four lease renewals with EFG Capital, Expedia, Eschaton Opportunities Fund, and CISA comprising 46,204 square feet.
  • One lease expansion with Moore Capital comprising 1,601 square feet.

Brian Gale and Edward Quinon of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Nuveen Real Estate in the negotiation with BlackRock. Cushman & Wakefield has been overseeing leasing for 701 Brickell since 2019. 701 Brickell spans 33 stories.

The LEED Gold Certified and Energy Star labeled building features bay views, conference facility, tenant only fitness center, covered parking accessible from Brickell Avenue or SW 8th Street and on-site retail.
