A new 135,000-square-foot lab and office building may be coming to the Biotech+ Hub at Pegasus Park. The two-story expansion—Bridge Labs—would be located adjacent to the 37,000-square-foot Bio-Labs facility, which opened in 2022. Pegasus touts itself as having state-of-the-art facilities where life science and healthcare innovators turn their discoveries into high-performing ventures. It’s just west of the UT Southwestern medical center. The life science residents at Pegasus Park currently includes UT Southwestern, TAYSHA Gene Therapies, McKesson, Health Wildcatters, Colossal, ReCode, etiraRX, and BioNTX.
Bridge Labs is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024. Member companies can have the advantage of having access to approximately $4 million worth of scientific equipment. The project will deliver shell lab space plus spec suites ranging from 4,526 square feet to 7,722 square feet. The spec suites being built will devote 60% of their square footage to open lab space, and 40% to functional office space.
