When Kanye went on Rogan, he made a really good point (disclosure: I don’t agree with everything he said) when he said so many people are worried about being better than others today, but really, as a society, we should try to compete against the past. Let’s be better than the Greeks who invented democracy, let’s be better than the Romans who laid the foundation for modern legal system, etc. That’s who we should be competing against.
