The Bulfinch Companies Signs Biotech Company to 43K SF in Needham Burgeoning Life Science Office

An affiliate of The Bulfinch Companies, Inc. has completed a new long-term lease with biotechnology company Evolved By Nature, Inc. for 43,000 square feet at 117 Kendrick Street in Needham, MA.

Mark Roth and Matt Malatesta of Newmark represented a commercial real estate and investment firm The Bulfinch Companies, Inc. in the transaction. Evolved By Nature was represented by Bill Lynch and John Carroll of Colliers.

117 Kendrick is a 213,000-square-foot office and lab building in Needham Crossing, Needham’s innovation hub and home to technology companies such as Trip Advisor, Shark/Ninja, Big Belly Solar, and IDG.

Following on the heels of a 17,000-square-foot lease with Xenon Pharmaceuticals at 117 Kendrick, this new lease strengthens Bulfinch’s repositioning of the asset from an office to life science property and brings the building to 92% leased. Bulfinch plans to reposition an additional 18,000 square feet of existing office space to lab in 2023.
